Institutions that are more receptive, flexible, and interconnected within ecosystems

We want to celebrate our 10th anniversary while launching a collaborative learning challenge to help generate opportunities for common reflection and action, especially seizing a moment where we are globally redefining priorities to build societies that are more resilient and fair. Within this process, we got inspiration from with a wide array of initiatives that are generating systemic changes worldwide.

Combatting situations of social exclusion should always imply to act at a systemic level, impacting the transformation of the complex structures and mental models that rule our society. This collection of innovations shows how, from their diverse spheres of action, institutions can become a crucial agent of change by incorporating innovation into their organizational culture and frameworks, thus developing capacity to transform their surroundings and systems they operate in. At times, it is all about remaining permeable to other agents from their ecosystem, gathering them in spaces of interaction where unlikely connections happen, and new actors become part of the solution. Other times, the response lies in giving voice to the people, truly understand their needs, and articulate flexible itineraries that allow to give answers adapted to each and everyone’s reality.
