An online job platform that provides refugees with access to the labour market by connecting them with employers according to their skills and knowledge. While promoting refugee integration, it helps employers to find talent and increase diversity.
What solution does the innovation propose?

A one-stop platform that helps refugees enter the labour market while addressing the main problems employers face when hiring them, namely cultural and religious barriers, false expectations and insufficiently prepared candidates. With Refugeeswork, employers find those best qualified, solve bureaucratic
and administrative issues and optimise the integration of refugees into their organisational structures, making it a win-win process. This innovation is currently inactive.

How does it work?

Refugees can register for free, easily create online profiles and get information about training and job offers. Employers search directly for employees or list vacancies, which are matched with prospective refugees. The matching algorithm takes in education and professional experience, language competence, place of residence, asylum status and profile quality into consideration. Additionally, Refugeeswork provides grant and legal information as well as tips regarding culture and religion to ease the integration process. Online-webinars prepare job seekers and refugees get access to internships that foster social integration by linking them with local people, local culture as well as the local language.
